New McDonald’s Hamburger University in China
Ronald McDonald has big ambition to develop and maintain the Chinese human resource. On Tuesday the first Hamburger University from the McDonald’s Corp was open in China. The Dean, Suzanna Li, mentioned that this University is set to be the place where motivated Chinese managers will obtain a higher education, educate new comers of managers of foreign companies plan to open new business. He wants to prove that this new University will be the Harvard for the industry of McDonald.
According to Tim Fenton, McDonald’s president for the area of Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa, the urgency of opening the Hamburger University in Shanghai is because China has a very strategic position for McDonald. From the data statistic prove that its increasing of annual rate is 10%, which is higher from the United Sates it self only 3%. The demand of this industry in China is $300 billion a year. The huge number of China population is the main factor of this plan.
in the Hamburger University of course will not train the student of how to make a delicious hamburger and yummy fries, but more to stress how to do a good business strategy and give the opportunity for managers to keep their spirit and ambitious of working.
