Friday (29/1/2010), escrow U.S. bank customer deposits, or the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), said the closure of six banks that failed to survive during the present financial crisis. This means that, in the early 2010′s was only 15 banks considered to have failed.

The six banks are First Regional Bank in Los Angeles, Florida Community Bank, First National Bank of Georgia, American Marine Bank in Washington, Marshall Bank in Minnesota, and the Community Bank and Trust in Georgia.

FDIC has estimated that in 2010 will be the peak number of bank failures due to the financial crisis now. In the year 2009 there are 140 banks which declared bankrupt, 25 banks in 2008, and three banks in 2007.

In summary, the sixth bank has now taken over the assets and deposits by other banks. In fact, some of the six banks that have failed to re-schedule the opening of branches in the next few days with the new ownership.

Legislators in the United States has declared that the recovery in the U.S. banking industry would burden the state of the economy as a whole. FDIC said the estimated losses from bank failures in the period 2009-2013 could reach 100 billion U.S. dollars.

Bull buffalo, lionA fierce battle between a lion and a wild African buffalo (buffalo bull) in the middle of a busy highway camera recorded tourists.

The people who drive while over the Kruger National Park, in South Africa, watching a lioness devouring efforts of a wild bull. Two animals were so persistent in the battle which lasted eight hours and the vehicle ignore the passer who is only a few feet from them.

Lioness was the most famous hunting. As the fight progresses, a large male lion just watching and not doing anything to help the lioness.

The scene was filmed by a tourist, Muhammed Patel. 24-year-old businessman, said, “It’s like watching a wildlife documentary in front of your eyes, only this time we are also in it.”

“They are just a few feet from the cars passing, but apparently none of the animals concerned. They’re just determined to outdo each other. I have never seen a lioness so eager to kill the buffalo, and lion alone, and the male lion arrogant who does not know himself just watching from the grass, “Patel said as quoted by the Telegraph, Thursday (14/1/2010).

According to eyewitnesses, the buffalo has become a target group of the lioness, but it later backed away one by one. The drama took place in the Orpen Road which is the main route into the park is famous throughout the world.

NASA is investigating how a bag of cocaine could be in hangar space shuttle Discovery at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

NASA’s spokesman, Allard Beutel, Thursday (14/1/2010), said the bag contained a small amount of drugs. The bag was found in a security worker at the hangar that can be accessed by approximately 200 employees and contractors of NASA.

“We do not tolerate the use of forbidden substances for the people who work in the orbiter,” said Robert Cabana, director of Kennedy Space Center, as quoted by the Telegraph, Friday.

Beutel says, there is no hardware problems with Discovery, there is also no indication of an employee under the influence of drugs while working at the facility. Discovery is being prepared for a mission in March.
